Privacy policy
gamecal.loodingdongs.com · last updated October 9, 2026
gamecal schedules tabletop game sessions for groups and keeps them on people's calendars. It's a free, personal project run by one person as part of loodingdongs.com. Questions or requests: gludington@gmail.com.
What gamecal stores
- Your account: the ID, email address, name and picture shared by the loodingdongs sign-in service (its own privacy policy), and your gamecal roles.
- Your campaigns: campaigns you create or join, their sessions, and your answers (Yes, Maybe, No).
- Your settings: your calendar feed link and its settings, and your choices on the Calendar page.
- Discord, if you connect it: your Discord user ID and username, which campaigns may message you, and the IDs of messages gamecal posted, so it can update them.
- Google Calendar, if you connect it: see below.
- Sign-in: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics.
Google Calendar
If you connect your Google account on the Calendar page, gamecal puts your sessions in your Google Calendar and keeps them up to date.
What gamecal accesses
- The email address of the Google account you connect, to show you which one is connected.
- The list of calendars you own, so you can choose where your sessions go.
- If you ask for one, it creates a calendar called "gamecal".
- It creates, updates and deletes the events it added for your sessions, in the calendar you chose. It never reads, changes or deletes any other event in your Google Calendar.
What gamecal stores from Google
- The access and refresh tokens Google issues, encrypted, so it can update your calendar when a session changes.
- The connected email address, the chosen calendar's ID and name, and the ID of each event it created.
How it's used
- Only to keep your gamecal sessions in your Google Calendar, as you set up on the Calendar page.
- It is never sold, shared or transferred to anyone, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI or machine-learning models. Nobody reads it, except where you ask for help, for security, or where the law requires.
gamecal's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Stopping
Disconnect on the Calendar page removes gamecal's events from your calendar (or deletes the "gamecal" calendar it made, if you choose), tells Google to cancel gamecal's access, and deletes the tokens and event IDs. You can also cancel access any time in your Google Account's third-party connections.
Who sees what
- People in a campaign see each other's names and answers for its sessions.
- If a campaign is connected to a Discord channel, gamecal's posts there show the session and who answered what.
- Your calendar feed link shows your sessions to anyone who has it: keep it private, or make a new one on the Calendar page.
Services gamecal runs on
- Cloudflare hosts gamecal and its database.
- Discord and Google, only if you connect them, as described above.
Deleting your data
- Disconnect Discord or Google Calendar any time from a campaign's settings or the Calendar page.
- Leave a campaign from its settings page; your answers in it go with you.
- To delete your account and everything gamecal holds about you, email gludington@gmail.com. Campaigns you own are deleted with it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too; anything significant will be announced in the app.
